Whether you are holidaying or bought your own in our award-winning holiday park, it’s always nice to feel like you’re in a home away from home. Here are some of our best tips for adding homely touches to your caravan!
Bring photos
Even if you’re away for a week, it’s always nice to have some photos. These could be of your dog who you’re missing or your family and friends who you aren’t holidaying with. Having some photos of your loved ones will help ease any homesickness that you may feel while away. Bring some self-standing framed photos in your luggage and put them on the table – you’ll smile every time you walk past!
Decorate the cabin with flowers
If you’re renting the cabin, you can’t go overboard with decor, but you can absolutely buy some fresh flowers to admire! Choose some seasonal flowers – daffodils in Spring, or marigolds in Summer – pop them in a vase, and place them on your table or another surface. These will brighten up the place no end!
Bring an iPad with downloaded movies
With an iPad, you can download movies from the Netflix app, so you can watch them offline. This means that you can spend evenings in your caravan re-watching all of your favourite movies – ones that you know will put a smile on your face!
Unpack properly
We have plenty of storage space in our cabins, so you’ll be able to fully unpack. Put your clothes into the wardrobes, and any other items into the drawers, and put your bags away – back in the car, or stashed in a corner. This will make you feel so much more at home than if you were living out of a suitcase!
